Over the last few weeks I have been working on several different projects. Today I present to you the next system replacement icon set from Pixelnet Design: Cobalide.

The icons will come in three variants and be my most complete set to date. Of course these things take time so a release isn’t exactly imminent… but I am far enough along to confidently preview the set for you here today. So enjoy the preview and be sure to check back frequently for more updates.

I originally designed these icons while working on my first guiKit Samui 1.0. Since then a lot has changed and the old icons I released look really bad to me color wise. So I went to work refining the icons and this is what I came up with. You should be able to make about any color from the icons provided. PNG+ICO for windows and Icon+Pixadex for Mac.

For the past few months I have been using Bare Bones Software’s BBEdit to code this website. While I love the application itself I was less than enamored by the application icon. Therefore, I decided to create a set of replacement icons. I designed these icons using the Apple Human Interface Guidelines for icons. The icon is inspired by and designed look good next to other text edit applications like CSS Edit, TextMate and Apple’s own Text Edit. So without futher ado I present to you my BBEdit Replacement Icons.
